SULLIVAN UPDATE Saturday, April 3, 2004

10 days to go and counting! Did you know AAU Sullivan Award Finalist, Diana Taurasi, was recently awarded her second consecutive Naismith Award which honors the nation's top collegiate men's and women's basketball players? Taurasi is the fifth player to win the Naismith more than once in the 22-year history of the award. She joins 1998 AAU Sullivan winner Chamique Holdsclaw as another two-time honoree. Congratulations on another outstanding season! Diana Taurasi (AAU Sullivan Memorial Award Finalist)   You can catch Taurasi and her UCONN Husky teammates as they take on the Minnesota Golden Gophers April 4th, 2004. The game will air on ESPN at 9:30pm. Tune in and watch this AAU Girls Basketball alumna and Sullivan Award finalist vie for a National Championship.   For more on the AAU Sullivan Award, visit www.aausullivan.org. The presentation of the 74th AAU Sullivan Award will take place at the New York Athletic Club, New York City, the evening of the 13th of April, 2004.
